Philomena

There can not be anybody who has not now heard about this wonderful film, remarkable in that Steve Coogan is able to hold his own with the glorious Judi Dench.  The film is all about the relationship of their two characters, the fearless Catholic mother, searching for her lost son, and the cynical journalist reluctantly accompanying her on her journey.  Steve Coogan also co-wrote the very good screenplay, for which he recently won a BAFTA, just to underline his serious cinematic credentials.

The film has won nineteen awards so far and is up for another thirty-three, including four Oscars.
