Full House for New Season

Wes Anderson's 'Grand Budapest Hotel' got a spontaneous round of applause from a packed house at our opening night recently. Extra chairs had to be laid out at the last minute, so apologies for the late start but cheers for such a brilliant turn out! A lovely beginning for what promises to be a great season.

We would like to remind audiences that as a volunteer-run popup cinema we always need more helping hands. When we have a busy night with a capacity audience arriving right up to the scheduled 7:30 starting time (and sometimes a bit after!) it puts pressure on the volunteers who look after ticket sales and memberships. It’s great for Moving Image if new people want to join on the door and take advantage of the significant membership discount, but please remember that this takes a few minutes and on a busy night there might be a queue. If you want to take out or renew your membership, or if you just want to make sure of a seat, then please come a little early. We usually open the doors at 7pm so there’s plenty of time to get a ticket and a good seat, have a chat and sample some excellent ice-creams or enjoy a glass of wine before the feature starts at 7:30.

If you are interested to find out more about how Moving Image operates or want to get involved then just say the word, even if you just feel like helping to set up once in a while. And remember that volunteers on an evening always get to see the movie for free!
