The Lego Movie
Don’t be fooled by the title. This is a film that critics say has plenty to offer children and their parents and was something of a surprise. We are able to show it before it becomes available to buy on DVD so take the opportunity.
The plot pits free-form invention against big business and politics, the animation is imaginative, it’s action -packed but still manages to work in some ‘smart consumer satire gags’. One critic even compares it to the British Aardman films. Praise indeed.
